An elegant Mallorcan villa in the peaceful Colonya Valley, just outside Pollença. Villa Can Xavier is a spacious house which has been recently renovated. And it's surrounded by beautiful gardens with mountain views.

Inside, the house is bright and airy in modern-Mallorcan style - with white walls, beamed ceilings and tiled floors. On the ground floor there's a living and dining room with comfortable sofas, satellite tv, and a dvd and stereo. Through double doors the dining area has a long table and chairs and a white dresser. The large kitchen has brand-new units and appliances including a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor there's a luxurious shower bathroom with marble counter-tops and tiling.

The three bedrooms are all on the first floor - two twin rooms and a double room. The double room is lovely and very spacious with a picture window looking across the garden and pool. It also has its own lounge and dressing room with a double sofa bed. A door leads out from the double room onto the terrace which again has gorgeous views over the garden to the mountains of the Sa Vall Guillo beyond. The large bathroom on this floor has two doors: one into the double room and one into the hallway, so it can be an en-suite room or shared by all three bedrooms. The bathroom is very luxurious with a jacuzzi bath.

There's lots of well-designed outside space at the villa which is hidden down a long drive with a gate to close off the road. The garden is very private and relaxing with a lovely rectangular pool, lawns, Mediterranean flowers and a sun-terrace, all surrounded by tall trees and palms. There's also a shady covered terrace running along the house joining it to the garden. There's a great area here for cooking and eating outside with a brick barbecue, work-surfaces, and terrace dining-furniture.

Villa Can Xavier is a great house with lots of space in a beautiful part of the Pollença countryside. It's a good all-year-round villa too - with air-conditioned bedrooms for high summer and central heating for early-spring or late-autumn holidays. It's close to all the best things on this part of the island - the historic old town of Pollença is a very short drive from here or a 25-minute walk. And the sea and beach-resort of Puerto Pollença are also within easy reach, just a 10-minute drive away.
