A neat and welcoming villa in a really peaceful part of the Pollença countryside. Villa Can Puig is down a quiet lane, on the top of a small hill. There are terrific views from the house down over fields and trees and across to the mountains of Can Bregat. And the house itself has lots of family-friendly outside space.

Inside, the rooms are all at ground level and are all air-conditioned. They’re simply furnished in classic Mallorcan style with white walls, tiled floors, and a combination of traditional dark-wood and modern furniture. There’s a long lounge and dining room with an open fire, a comfortable sofa and rocking chairs, a dining table and chairs, and satellite tv and a dvd and stereo. The kitchen is a lovely, large and square room with lots of storage space in wooden units, and appliances including a dishwasher and a stainless steel oven. It looks out over the garden and pool-terrace.

The two bedrooms – a double and a twin room – are light and airy and simply furnished with ironwork beds and white linen. They share a full bathroom with a bath and a shower. The garden and pool area at the villa are really lovely and very spacious. There’s a covered, furnished terrace at the back, overlooking the pool, with a brick barbecue. And there’s a long sun-terrace next to pool with sun-loungers and lots of flowers in pots. There’s also a new lawn area and on the lower level of the garden there’s an orchard full of almond bushes, fig and orange trees. The gardens are very family-friendly with lots of different areas to explore. There’s also a basketball net and a table-tennis table!

This is a great villa in a fantastic location on a hill, looking down over lovely countryside. It’s very quiet here too, with just a few other houses nearby. This is a great place to escape from everyday life - to relax and explore the surrounding countryside. It’s also in a good base from which to make the most of this part of Mallorca: the historic old town of Pollença is 5 minutes away by car and the beach and the sea at Puerto Pollença is a 10-minute drive from here. Pollença’s golf course is even nearer, just a couple of minutes away by car.
