A welcoming holiday house with a beautifully designed interior, in the countryside just outside Pollença. Villa Can Jordi has a feeling of light and space and an extensive garden with stunning views of the mountains of the Colonya valley.

Inside, the house has been re-designed to be a very stylish home - with white walls, white curtains and furniture, and lots of natural wood and stone. To the right of the entrance hall is a large open-plan lounge with a wicker-backed sofa and chairs and two sets of French doors opening out onto the terrace and garden. There’s satellite tv and a dvd and stereo in the lounge too. A breakfast bar separates the lounge from the kitchen. The kitchen is well designed and practical with lots of storage space in dark-wood cupboards, a dining table and ironwork chairs, and appliances including a dishwasher.

The double bedroom is also on the ground floor. It’s a lovely room with a second tv, and double doors leading out onto the terrace and garden. It also has a luxurious and sparkling white en-suite shower-bathroom. There’s also a second shower-bathroom on the ground floor in the hallway.

On the first floor, up a wooden spiral staircase, there’s a twin bedroom. It’s a lovely bright room with white linen, a white sofa, and views over the garden and countryside. Both of the bedrooms are air-conditioned.

The garden and pool area at Villa Can Jordi is very spacious and well designed. There are long lawns, a sun-terrace around the pool, and a new barbecue. A wicker-covered terrace overlooking the pool, joins the garden to the house. There’s a pool-shower which is really useful on hot days after a swim. The house also has a wide graveled drive with a gate off a quiet lane.

Villa Can Jordi is an elegant contemporary house with lots of light and space and a cool interior design. It’s a good family house although the twin bedroom is most suitable for older children, and also makes a great base for a holiday with friends. Pollença old town, with all its historic sites, cafés, restaurants and shops, is a 5-minute drive from the house, and the beach and the sea at Puerto Pollença are just 10 minutes away by car.
