If a true mallorquiene luxury country house is what you are looking for then they do not come better than this. A seven bedroomed, seven bathroom country residence that really is something special. This villa is set in a private location, near to the Golf course of Pollensa and will provide an unforgettable fantastic holiday experience for large groups / several families. The villa is situated midway between the sought after area of Crestaix and the Golf course . It is down its own private driveway set back off the Palma to Pollensa road and is a nice easy 5minute drive to the supermarkets and restaurants of charming Pollensa . The owners, Antonia and Juan Ros have done a superb job restoring this finca - managing to keep all its typically mallorquiene features but with many modern twists. All the rooms are cavernous in their size, and are all bright and airey, but yet still retaining a wonderful homely feel. Nice and cool in the summer and lovely and warm in the winter (due to its under floor central heating). On entrance to the Finca you enter a large dining hall with huge wooden dining table and chairs. Turning right you pass into a snug seating / reading area with galleried stairs leading upstairs.. This then leads to 2 downstairs bedrooms - 1 twin 1 double both with full en-suite bathrooms. Through the dining hall takes you into the huge dining kitchen. It is a traditional mallorquiene kitchen with granite work surfaces but offering all the modern conveniences one would expect from a property of this distinction. Dishwasher/washing machine/microwave. Doors from here lead through to a corridor with full bathroom off to one side together with sauna (finish for 2005). Then into the magnificent dining room which has one of the finest dining tables we have seen anywhere. The old wooden turning wheel from the olive press which has been updated with a glass top to produce a dining table that will easily accommodate 16 people is something to behold. The far end of the dining room houses the comfortable lounge area with sat tv and dvd etc Upstairs to the landing and yet another seating area to where all the other bedrooms lead off (one double en suite, two twins en suite, one double and one twin sharing a full bathroom) . This snug area is ideal for children as it has satellite tv or just nice if there is a large group to escape for some peace and quiet. All the bedrooms are large with lovely views and again a high standard bedroom furniture. Inside no expense has been spared with the loving restoration. The old farming implements from the pre-restoration decorate the walls together with beautiful works of art making this a regular luxury home from home. Outside the villa there is a large turning circle to the front of the house with a magnificently restored Olive press from which the former finca gained its living and also a lovely feature fountain. Surrounded with fields where you can see the ubiquitous Spanish donkeys,peacocks, sheep and special local breed of mountain goat unique to Mallorca. The courtyard to the rear houses a small dining table with chairs. Bedrooms and bathrooms: 4 twins 3 doubles, 7 full bathrooms (2 doubles, en suite,3 twins en-suite) All en-suites were full bathrooms. 1 twin and I double both en suite, downstairs,1 additional full bathroom with sauna (sauna ready for 2005). Rest of bedrooms upstairs along with large house bathroom which 2 bedrooms share. All bedrooms large double bedrooms which could easily accommodate extra beds (extra charge) if required (maximum occupancy 16 though) Pool: Approx 11 x 5 with large roman steps. Gentle large steps edged with roman columns / pergola effect, lead from main house down to pool area giving the feeling you are entering a roman bath. Large patio area around pool. Feature here is large olive press made into picnic / outside dining table. All in all you will be delighted with your stay here. Ideal for country walks.
