Pollenca Sleeps 6
We are extremely lucky to have found this very special, beautifully furnished village house set in the heart of the Old town of Pollensa, yet still retaining a peaceful ambience. The main door of the property is situated off the side of a pretty and quiet town narrow street and leads you into a nicely furnished entrance. From here a door on the right leads into a study with a large business desk ideal if you need to unfortunately put in a couple of hours work whilst away from the office. The spacious dining area is off here with a lovely oak table set underneath charming beams ideal for having your own cosy dinner parties as you try your hand with the local delicacies. From here leads you past the wonderful feature staircase and into the fully fitted kitchen with all the modern facilites including dishwasher, microwave, and American style fridge-freezer. The work surfaces are made from Mallorcan stone. There is also a breakfast table with ample seating facilities with a lovely tiffany lamp above it. The door here opens up onto the lower outside terrace and pool area. Also situated here is the extensive covered built in barbacue area with a wooden table and bench seating. This is ideal for relaxing and al fresco dining in, on those warm balmy summer evenings. You must try out the very comfortable hanging hammock seat but please attempt without a drink in hand ! The pool with its large roman steps, is ideal for relaxing in, as it has a jacuzzi feature which will massage your muscles with its' water jets and can even be heated for you (additional £175 per week). The pool area has a furnished sun bathing terrace, and has a wonderful painted mural of the "Cavall Bernat" Mountain in neighbouring Cala St Vincete, (5minute drive and well worth a visit with its'excellent sandy beaches) which translates to Bernards Horse which is the name given due to certain times of the year when its' shadow casts onto the sea. On the ground level back inside the house there is also a W.C . The lounge with satellite TV/DVD is elegantly furnished with lots of personal touches which are a mixture of modern and classic . At the top of the staircase the landing complete with skylight plays host to the sleeping area and bathrooms. There is a wonderful full bathroom here beautifully decorated withe tastseful rustic-style tiling. Two twin bedrooms both furnished to a high standard share this bathroom. One of the bedrooms opens up onto a large terrace style balcony which can be used as an ideal sun-trap late in the day and overlooks the pool area below. In addition there is a double bedroom with an ensuite walk-in shower bathroom with quality glass tiling which lets through beams of natural light creating a nice atmosphere. This villa designed with excellent taste and artwork and well worth a visit as we are sure you will agree. It is ideally situated for exploring this wonderful medieval town and its' restaurants, and with central heating , air conditioning and heated jacuzzi pool makes this an ideal year round holiday stay.
