A beautifully designed and luxurious villa in a very private setting. Can Mollero has all the character of a typical Mallorcan country house with modern styling inside. It's in a lovely part of the countryside outside Pollença with views of the mountains of the Colonya Valley, and it's still just within walking distance (900m) from the historic old town, and also a short drive from the sea at Puerto Pollença.

Inside, the house is spacious, light and airy with elegant and comfortable furniture. A graceful stone entrance hall opens out into the large lounge and dining area. This living space is a mix of modern and traditional design - with stone walls and a beamed ceiling, lots of comfortable seating on corner sofas, bright white spotlighting and paintings. There's also satellite tv here and a stereo and dvd. There's a wood-burning stove here too, for cooler evenings. Through a wide stone archway, the dining room has a long glass table and chairs.

The kitchen is a long room with lots of storage space in white cupboards with marble work-surfaces. There's also a breakfast table and chairs here, and appliances including a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor is a large double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, with a corner bath. And there's a toilet-cloakroom here too.

On the first floor, there are two twin bedrooms and another large double bedroom. The twin rooms share a large terrace with lovely views over the pool and gardens. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned. There's another great bathroom here too, with a walk-in shower and double sinks. There's also an extra room on this floor: a second lounge area which is the perfect place for spending quiet time reading and relaxing.

The gardens and outside space at Can Mollero are particularly well-designed and very private. A long covered terrace runs along the house, joining it to the garden. The terrace and the garden have amazing views of the mountains of the Colonya valley. The garden itself is surrounded by tall olive trees and conifers casting lots of shade. A stone sun-terrace runs around three sides of the pool, and there's a shady lawn around the other side, sloping gently down towards the valley. There are great facilities for relaxing and eating outside - with a covered barbecue area, a Mallorcan bread oven and a stone sink, and lots of elegant garden furniture - including a hammock for the ultimate in holiday relaxation!

The house is set down a long driveway with electric gates. There's plenty of parking space here with tall conifer trees shading the house from the road - the road does run quite close to one side of the villa but its sound-proof windows keep it very quite inside. The gardens are on the other side of the house and so are also really quiet and relaxing.

Can Mollero is a really special villa, combining the traditions of Mallorcan design with French style - thanks to Mallorcan-French owners Juan and Angelica who look after the villa with love. It's the perfect place for a family holiday - with its child-friendly gardens and spacious rooms - or for a luxurious holiday with friends. It's in a beautiful part of the Pollença countryside and is still just a short drive away from all the restaurants, cafés and galleries of Pollença old town, and also from the sheltered bay of Puerto Pollença.
